Arnie
Arnie is now in Foster this is what they say about him. Arnie has settled in really well. We have found him to be of a wonderful nature, great around kids. Our kids are four and ten and he plays great with them. Niamh the four-year-old lies on him and he doesn't bat an eye lid. He also gets on great with other dogs, but like my own dogs' barks at other dogs while on the lead, but honestly, we think this is more an excitable bark than anything else. Its just we have to keep him on the lead as his recall is not too good and needs to be worked on and we are concentrating on this as Arnie seems to get a little distracted while out on his walks. He does pull on the lead, but a canny collar, halti etc does help a lot with this. Also he tends to walk better on collar and lead when out alone and not with our two GSD's, (he want to be up front). He has been getting on great with our two dogs but Arnie and Elsa seem to have become pals so maybe he would be better with a nice bitch. Arnie is quite protective over his food bowl with our dogs but I must add, he is fine with humans going near his food bowl, doesn't show any aggression at all (only with dogs). Arnie is also currently living with three cats and just barks at them sometimes, not aggressively, just more of an inquisitive bark. Certainly has not been aggressive towards them in anyway. He has been clean in the house, no accidents at all, so well house trained. He is also fine when left. The longest has been about 2 hrs. He loves company and cuddles and likes to please. Sometimes Arnie barks when you talk to him or he is waiting for a treat, but he is only talking to you. I really do think that the lucky new owner who gets Arnie shall be very pleased with him as he is of sound nature and rather laid back. Really Lynn I cant fault him he is great. We have all fell in love with him dearly and we will all miss him so much when he finds his wonderful new forever home. When I wake up in the morning he gets the quilt in his mouth and pulls the quilt back as if to say get up now, along with lots of licks. Sometimes when excited like in the morning when getting up he mouths a little as he is pleased you are getting up. He really is a great lad!!!!
Missy
Missy is 2 yrs old she is spayed she has lived with children of all ages, she is now back in kennels after being re-homed new owners felt that she needed more time than they had to give. She was living with a 2 yr old and she is fine with her. She was also living with a GSD male, but Missy is quite a dominant female and is wanting to be the boss. She is waring of strangers. With time and training, we are sure Missy will be a lovely girl. This was her 2nd home. Her first home she was taken out as there was domestic violence.
Star
Only 10 months old and already had a hard life, Star has a great temperament and shows no aggression whatsoever. She is currently in fostercare in York, where she is learning the basics and how to live with other dogs. Very affectionate when she gets to know you, she loves to play ball and already walks quietly to heel when out. She is a little nervous and will need a patient owner. Clean in the house, quiet at night, she barks at the doorbell but stops on command. Vaccinated, worm and flea treated, she will be a delight for the right owner
Murphy
Murphy is 18 months of age he is entire this a lovely boy and he is looking for a new home as his owner just can't cope she has Murphy's mum and a small child, Murphy is not getting out and not getting the attention he seeks. He is good with other dogs and good with children.
Jess- Lancs
Jess is 4yrs spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Jess is currently in foster with another male GSD x and is enjoying having the company she wasn't socialized very much in her last home due to the owners inexperience so this has brought her confidence up lots, she is very good out walking and has very good recall, however she doesn't like smaller dogs so this will need work. Jess can live with older children but cannot live with cats. Jess can be left for several hours, but this will need to be built up in her new home as moving around has been quite stressful for her, she is crate trained, travels well, and after initial bark is good with new people.an Jess could happily have a male friend in her new home or be the only pet; she needs a family or person who will give her the loving home she so deserves.
Robbie - Nuneaton
Robbie - adorable 4-year-old B/T, short haired, neutered GSD. Vaccinations are over due. Robbie is a typical GSD so somewhat territorial towards his home and strangers coming to the door. He recently bit a neighbour that came through the door without warning. The owner is now wary of him as they have three children even though he has never shown any aggression towards the children or his owners. Robbie was just doing his job protecting his home and family and for that, he will now have to be rehomed. Robbie is not good with other dogs or cats and it is suggested that he is rehomed as the only pet in the home and he would benefit from being with someone who is experienced with and understands the breed. Boots - Stourbridge
This beautiful dog is 5-year-old Boots. Fully vaccinated and micro-chipped but still entire. Has never lived with children or dogs but has never shown aggression to dogs when out, unknown with cats. He is currently being kept outside in a kennel and run as he was previously used as a security dog but kept indoors during bad weather and is therefore housetrained. Our assessor found him to be a well-adjusted dog and knew when it was work or playtime; she also said he was a very playful dog who loved his football! He has good recall following his training but rarely allowed off lead and did pull when our assessor walked him but this may be due to lack of walks due to current owners work commitments. An ideal home for Boots will be one with no children, possibly older and experienced ones; a family who will stimulate him with further socialising and fantastic walks.
Sabre - Notts
Let me introduce you all to 7 years young Sabre a delightful dog who is entire and not up to date on his vaccinations. Sadly due to changes in the family circumstance, Sabre did not receive the best of care and so we got him out and into a fabulous foster home where he is now getting the care and attention he desperately needs. He previously lived with 3 children and 2 other dogs and a cat. He is an extremely friendly dog and will jump up on occasions and constantly gives his paw for attention. Loves to play with his ball but no toy aggression whatsoever. Walks well on the lead, never off lead so will need some recall training. This boy will make a fabulous addition to any family, he needs a loving home very soon!
Kaiser - Manchester
Kaizer is 2yrs neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. He is a young lad who is currently living in a flat and being left for long periods of time. He has never had his own garden to play in, but is very laid back and doesn't chew or bark whilst left. Kaizer walks well on the lead, owner uses halti, he has never lived with children but is very friendly so older ones in the home would be fine he cannot live with cats. Kaizer hasn't had as much socialisation as he should have, but is good with the dogs he does get to meet so could live with a female. He will need an active family who will give him the exercise and training he needs so he continues to grow into a super dog.
Junior
This stunning lad is Junior he is 7 yrs old he is castrated owner has had him since a pup. he is good with other dogs presently living with Tara a GSD Cats are un known owner thinks he would be best placed with older children. He has never shown any aggression but was very protective of his owner when volunteers arrived but soon settled down and played ball in the garden. So we think Junior should be homed with a family that has had previous experience with the breed. The reason for re-homed owner relocating He lives with Tara and we would like them to be homed together but we only have a few weeks so we would split them.
Tara
Tara (not a very good photo she is camera shy) lovely girl of 5 yrs she is spayed she is great with children of all ages, she is fine with other dogs she currently lives with Junior. We don't know about cats. Volunteers say that she is a very friendly dog just loves to play have hugs and playing ball. The reason for re homing owner relocation. We would like to keep Junior & Tara together but once again we will split them. Tara should make a very nice family dog.
Nero - Wirral
Nero is 5yrs and entire, he is good with children and has lived with another dog, a Belgium Shepherd, in the past but likes to be the one in charge, so would need to either live with a female or be the only dog, cannot live with cats. Nero is protective of his family and home but once he knows you will be wanting plenty of fuss, he is good left indoors, travels well in a crate, and has good training on the lead but hasn't had much off lead time so further training needed there. Nero needs an active family as he loves his games of football and is an energetic lad, he needs a new home due to the owners moving house he needs to be out by the middle of June.
