Bruno - Cambs
Bruno is a longhaired 4yr old entire male. He currently lives in a barn but is chained up as he keeps escaping and has killed the neighbour's prize chickens. The neighbours have threatened legal action if Bruno is not re-homed soon. While chained Bruno shows aggression and will nip, but when off the chain he is a completely different character and is very friendly. He responded to simple commands and took treats from our assessor. Bruno is good with children, other dogs and cats. We are unsure if he is house trained, but he does not mess in his barn. He is not currently walked and so will need some lead training. He shows no aggression when allowed to be free and will make a great addition to the right home. This young man just needs a chance to be a pet rather than a yard dog.
Brodie
Brodie is an 8 year young neutered male. This is what his foster mum has to say about him: When Brodie came to stay with me he was extremely underweight, and seemed very sad. He looked like he’d had a very tough life. Although he is very well behaved in the house, it took him a few months to form any bond with me. He has been diagnosed with borderline EPI which is easily treated with pancreatic enzymes in his food, and since I changed his food to Hills prescription D/D diet he has started to flourish. He has put on lots of weight and has a spark back in his eyes. He still scratches a bit, but I’m hoping that as he is getting on so well with his new diet this will settle. He is stiff in his hips but can still run like a greyhound especially when chasing the squirrels in the woods. He gets on well with most other dogs but does bark a bit if on the lead. He does have a habit of bouncing over to other walkers in the park to scrounge food, but we are working hard on his recall to stop this. He is welcoming of strangers to the house and sometimes doesn’t even get out of bed. He has lived with other dogs before and cats, but would probably be best with a bitch. Brodie loves to play ball and has no toy or food aggression. He is a very vocal dog if he has something he wants to tell you. His basic commands are good, he walks well on the lead, and has an excellent stay. He will also speak on command. Brodie is full of character and asks for nothing more than a good meal, a walk and a comfy bed. More pictures
Spike
This is Spike, he is 6 yrs old semi coated black and tan, Spike has been neutered but not up to date with his vaccinations, he is good with children, most dogs and cats, Spike is not keen on little dogs, Spike was very friendly to our assessor and needs a new home due to long working hours and relationship split.
Frost - Newtown
Hi my name is Frost, I am a lovely white GSD who is looking for a new soul mate, My best friend passed away and I was so upset that I developed depression which was treated by the vet and I am now over it and ready to look for a new home. I am good with children, I am not quite sure about dogs as one attacked me when I was a puppy I will not fight with them just not keen, cats is a definite no as I don't like them at all unless to play chase lol, I will need an experienced owner as I am quite strong, but as long as your firm but fair then I will listen to you, I am up to date on my vaccinations and have been neutered, I am staying in Newtown Wales at the moment. They will only let me live with children 10yrs and above due to my size. So if you think you are the right owner for me give me a call.
Bear - West Sussex
Bear is a 4-year entire boy. This poor boy is not getting any proper exercise due to his ower’s ill health, however, is also underweight. Bear has a lovely temperament but is not lead trained so will need some work. He is a powerful dog. Bear is good with children and lives with cats but not good with other dogs. This is probably more due to the lack of socialisation he has had with them, though. Bear does get a build up of wax in one ear but this is manageable. This boy desperately needs a new home. Can you help him?
Missy - Essex
Missy is a 6yr old spayed bitch who does suffer from separation anxiety but is good with children of all ages. She does have the habit of chasing sheep if given a chance and therefore she ignores her recall. She doesn’t have any aggression issues but does want to be the centre of attention at all times. The volunteer who assessed her say she is a lovely girl who greets and love company.
Kiki - Basildon
Kiki is a 10yr old entire bitch whose owners are emigrating and are unable to take her with them. She is good with other dogs and cats and has never shown any aggression, she has also lived with another dog. She does have epilepsy which is controlled by 1 table per day but the fits seem to be worse in the summer rather than the winter but there is no aggression when fitting.
Sam - Notts
This poor boy is 5 years old Sam who desperately needs a home now! He is currently being left alone up to 13 hours due to current owners shifts and because he is bored he has chewed his tail which has since been removed due to the severity of the injury sustained. He is neutered and micro chipped but not up to date with his vaccination, is good with dogs as he previously lived with another dog but not good with cats and unknown with children. Our assessor found him to be a friendly boy who enjoyed the attention she gave him; walked well on the lead until he saw a cat and responded well when off lead. The ideal home would be with someone with experience of the breed who is home most of the day and preferably with another dog to give Sam something to focus on.
Sparky - Nuneaton
This lovely lad is 6 years old Sparky who has been neutered but not up to date with his vaccinations. Unfortunately, Sparky did not have the best start in life, he was cruelly locked in a cupboard so can be rather excitable but despite this, he is a very friendly boy who loves a fuss from everyone he meets. He previously lived in a foster home and regularly played with dogs and the new owner will need to keep up with this socialisation. Definitely, a no with cats but will be alright with older children. Sparky will need an experienced owner who will booster his confidence and provide him with further guidance; a truly loving and loyal dog who deserves a forever home now!
Sasha - Birmingham
This gorgeous girl is 5-year-old Sasha. She is vaccinated, spayed and micro chipped. She currently lives with teenagers but has not been socialised with other dogs and will bark when she sees them so further socialising would be ideal and a no to cats. Our assessor found Sasha to be a busy, inquisitive and bright dog who loved to play ball (all day if allowed) and took treats nicely. She knows basic commands as she spent 6 months at puppy school. The owner sadly has to leave Sasha for very extended periods due to circumstances out of her control, but in all fairness, to Sasha, she has been excellent, no damage when left. Ideally, an active home ideally with older children is out there for the lovely Sasha.
