Jasko - Wolverhampton
This stunning boy is Jasko who is 5 yrs old (6 on Mar 11). An entire boy who is vaccinated and tattooed. He currently lives with children 4+ and likes to play with other dogs in the park but a definite no to cats! Although Jasko is kept outside most of the day he is also housetrained and travels in the car but would prefer to sit in the front seat:-) Will bark when people come to the door as he is protective of his environment; he has good recall. Jasko needs a new home due to changes in the owners working hours, a truly loved dog who needs a new home. However, due to his strength, it would be advisable to rehome him in with a GSD experienced family with either no children or a home with older children.
Jake - Nuneaton
This delightful boy is 3 years old Jake. It is has been a sad time for Jake as his owner sadly died and although a family member took him on, he, unfortunately, did not have the time for him. He is neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations. When our assessor arrived she was greeted with a few token barks and then enjoyed a fuss with a waggy tail. He has good basic commands, is house trained, non-destructive and travels well. Although he has been in contact with children he has not lived with them and it would be advisable he is re-homed with teenagers, definitely a no with both cats and dogs. This lovely boy is currently in kennels and needs a new loving forever home soon. More about Jake >>>>
Sunny - Kent
Sunny is a 4 year neutered dog. He is good with older children and cats but not good with other dogs. However, when our volunteer walked him she felt this could be resolved. He was taken in by the family at 18 months when a relative passed away and they do not have the time or experience to give Sunny what he deserves. A big gentle boy.
Barney - Bristol
Barney is a 9-year-old entire male. He is protective in his home and needs a proper introduction to visitors but soon relaxed when our volunteer visited. Barney’s manners on a lead need some work as he pulls and will lunge towards other dogs, however off the lead he wanted to get to other dogs to play. His recall is another thing that will need working on. Barney is very fit for his age although a little overweight at present. All Barney needs is a strong handler to put him on the right track and he will make a fabulous companion.
Angel
Angel is an adorable 7month old long haired bitch. She is fully vaccinated and microchipped. Angel is good with young children, good with other dogs and plays with the cat she lives with. She is very friendly, good on a lead and has good recall. Angel is a well balanced young dog who is need of a home where she will receive the love and attention she deserves. She is currently being left for 14 hrs a day so needs to be rehomed as soon as possible.
Jessie
This lovely female dog is in kennels and needs to be out as soon as possible. She is very friendly and gets on well with other dogs in the kennels. She let me put my hand in her mouth and did not show any sign of aggression. Took her for a walk and she does need some lead training. She noticed some horses and did bark. She is very clean in her kennel and we believe housetrained, although we cannot know for sure. She was rehomed and returned due to no fault of her own. The dog she went to live with did not like her and kept attacking her. Shame really because she is adorable.
Sheba
This is Sheba she was taken into kennels today and was very scared; we would like to find her a home ASAP as we do not think she will do well in kennels. Sheba is 21/2 yrs of age and is good with other dogs, children of all ages babies upwards. This is our volunteers report Sheba was a little nervous when first introduced to us but she was soon happy to be stroked. Sheba lives with a small dog and young children. The owner has no time to walk her and she is being left outside for very long periods. She does pull on the lead but that can soon be sorted. Sheba will make a very nice family pet.
Sam
This is Sam, he is 3 yrs old and neutered. He lives with children from the 9 yrs to 14 and is fine with them. Owners feel he is too protective of his home. and therefore have lost confidence in Sam when visitors arrive he is put outside. When volunteers went Sam was met outside as owners had requested one volunteer took Sam for a walk he was fine great on lead and followed commands. When brought into house volunteer played with Sam took toys off him and gave tit bits Sam was fine. Owners want Sam re-homed as soon as possible.
Lady - Essex
Lady the Rottie came to us after her owner, who was using her for breeding, died. Now she is 8 years old and finally, she has started to enjoy her life! She has a brilliant temperament – it’s actually incredible how quickly she shook off her horrible past! She is great with people and other dogs. Currently, she lives in a foster home with 3 other females, big and small, and she quickly made friends with all of them. She also spends a lot of time with the whole bunch of other canines and greets happily every person she meets, an adult or a child. She absolutely loves walks in parks and woodland but also enjoys every minute spent at home – she actually appreciates having finally her own bed (and being allowed on a couch too! ;) She is perfect in the house, does not destroy or chew anything and stays happily on her own without any trouble. She makes a good watch dog as she barks when someone approaches the door but in the end, she greets everyone nicely. She is not used to cats and would chase them on the street, she also barks heavily at horses and would go after them if she was allowed. Not very good in the car but it could probably improve as she loves sitting in the car as long as it’s not moving! Do you have space for lovely Lady in your heart and your home? Lady is in our care as she was given up together with a GSD and we couldn’t leave her behind just because she is a different breed! If you would like to offer a home for Lady, please visit our adoption page and specify you are interested in her. If you’d like to have an informal chat about Lady, please call her foster mum, Gosia, on 0 7517 929 466 or email Gosia . More photos of Lady
DON"T LET MOSEY SPEND HIS 10th BIRTHDAY IN KENNELS
Mosey was once a cute little puppy but now he is 9 years old and has spent nearly a year in kennels. Mosey has constantly been overlooked in favour of younger dogs yet he has as much love to give and will be a great companion for his new owner. Are you that special person that can give Mosey his forever home?
1 year in kennels - now rehomed.
