Millie - Herts
This girl is about 5 years old. She was also picked up as a stray and was taken out of a pound in Enfield where she was due to be sent across to Battersea to become another number. She has not shown any signs of aggression and comes across as a quiet and placid girl. She is clean in her kennel and no issues have been displayed while there. She is strong on the lead but she probably hasn’t been on one for a long time. Can you help her?
Max - Essex
This gorgeous young man is 6 months old, entire Max. He is good with children, other dogs and cats. Max is a typical young shepherd who is full of energy and will mouth occasionally. He has been to some obedience classes and obviously, his training will need to be continued. Max is only being rehomed due to a change in his owner’ s circumstances.
Khan - Portsmouth
Khan is 11yr old gentle loving entire boy who seems to be upsetting the neighbours just by walking around his home. He plays with dogs and children and ignores cats. He does have slight stiffness in his hips and can have problems climbing stairs. The owners are very reluctant to rehome him but know they need to for his own safety. The volunteer states he is an absolute gentleman who still has a bit of playfulness in him and is a beautiful older statesman for the breed.
Jess - Nuneaton
This delightful dog is Jess who is an unspayed 8-year-old. Jess belonged to an older chap who used to take her for lots of walks with his friends and other dogs, so she is very well socialised. Sadly Jess's dad died recently and this week she will be homeless. Jess's owner and family have given regular monthly donations to a well-known charity who have refused to help with Jess and suggested that the kindness thing was to put Jess to sleep! Neither we or the family think Jess deserves to be treated like that so she is coming into our care until a home can be found. We don't want this lovely girl to be stuck in kennels, she is missing her dad and needs a loving home. Can you help Jess get over her loss?
Sadie - Nuneaton
This is the beautiful Sadie, who really has pulled the short straw in life. When she was around 4 years old, she and her friend were given to a company as yard dogs. They were both previously pets and big softy's but were kept in awful conditions for many years. Her friend died in that dreadful place. Sadie thought her luck had changed when she went to live in a home in Wales but she was betrayed by humans once again. This poor girl is now in kennels when she should be curled up in front of the fire enjoying her retirement. She is great with people, children and other dogs. Please don't overlook Sadie because of her age
Bella - Luton
Bella is just over a year spayed and vaccinated. Bella is good with other dogs gets excited at first meeting but soon settles down, she is good with strangers initial bark followed with a very waggy tail! She cannot live with cats and older children only as she hasn't experienced young ones. Bella travels well and is happy to be left alone. She has her basic commands but due to her age will need an active home with someone who is willing to bring this lovely lady on.
Sam - Nuneaton
This totally gorgeous dog is Sam. He's approx 12 mths old is vaccinated to Feb 12, is microchipped and is entire. He is bright and alert and certainly full of life! He's a typical GSD puppy who has had no training but is very friendly and would be a great challenge to an experienced GSD owner. He is currently living with one of our wonderful fosterers, has previously lived with young children and is no problem with them, he is also living with a young submissive bitch, unknown with cats or livestock. The fosterer says he is non-destructive, housetrained and his recall is coming along nicely. Overall a fabulous dog who just needs someone to give him more time and attention he craves and deserves.
Meg - West Mids
This beautiful little girl is 8mth old Meg a Black & Tan GSD. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped but has not yet been spayed. She currently lives with a family with young children, gets on well with an older dog and loves to play with the cats. She is house trained and is learning the basic commands. Our assessor who met Meg said she is an absolute little treasure, absolutely no aggression and would be a fabulous addition to a loving and caring household who will provide her with the guidance and the socialising she needs as a young dog. Please give Meg a chance!
Cindy - Scunthorpe
This little girl is 6mths old Cindy a GSD x, what a little beauty! Cindy’s current owner saved her from an awful man who was beating her in the street, other people just walked by but the lady intervened and after a mouthful from him she bought the dog off him. She is now in perfect health after vet treatment. However, the owner needs to re-home her as Cindy is an extremely nervous dog and is finding life in a busy family home difficult. Cindy needs a quiet, loving home to bring her out of her shell and become an even lovelier little dog.
Jay - Nuneaton
This absolute stunner is 1 year old Jay who is neutered and up to date with his vaccinations. When our assessor met him, he greeted her by jumping excitedly but when she ignored him he soon calmed down. He clearly has not been provided with the guidance and exercises a dog like Jay requires. He would ideally suit a home with either no children or much older, experienced ones; he has no problem with other dogs will love to play with them. Our assessor had a little training session with him and she was amazed how quickly he picked things up, a keen learner who will do really well. He is now in kennels and is not enjoying his time there and would desperately love a new home where he will be provided with the training and exercise he craves. With time and effort, this dog will make a fabulous addition to an active home. Could that be yours???
