MORE RESCUE DOGS REHOMED >>>>>>>
Jade - Northants
This stunning girl is 7-year-old Jade who has been spayed but is not up to date on her vaccinations. She is good with children and although she is vocal with other dogs she is not aggressive, but definitely no to cats. She does pull on the lead but a halti is doing what it says on the pack, so would benefit from some training classes and this will also help with further socialisation. When our assessor went to see her she didn't bark just wagged her tail, all in all, she's a lovely dog and would make an excellent addition to any family.
Duke - Somerset
Duke is a 3-year-old entire male. A dog with a super temperament. Good with kids and other dogs but not keen on cats. Owner passed away and there is nobody to care for him. Currently in foster.
Tasha - Herts
Tasha is a 5-year unspayed bitch. She has lived with young children and is a dog with a super temperament. Very obedient, this girl has settled into her foster home with no problems. She loves to play and loves affection. Has met foster mum’s horses and just gave one of them a big kiss! Being rehomed due to a change in circumstances, along with her companion Duke.
Rolo - Notts
Rolo is approx 6 months old and a typical young boy with lots of energy. He is vaccinated and microchipped and walks well on the lead. He is currently undergoing house training as this had not been enforced and has been crate trained since being in foster care. He is currently living with 3 GSD’s and a rabbit quite happily although will try and be dominant and work his way up the chain if given half a chance but is par for the course for any young male finding his feet. His recall has not been started but he is keen to learn and does so with ease. Rolo is good with children but due to his age and energy it is recommended he is homed with older children, he loves to play any games but also loves to curl up on your feet for a snooze. Rolo is a little nervous at first but wholeheartedly gives you his love and affection when he trusts you. This lovely boy will make a great companion for anyone and with a little time and dedication will grow to be a fabulous big boy.
PLEASE DO NOT ENQUIRE ABOUT ROLO UNLESS YOU HAVE PASSED YOUR HOMECHECK
Archie - Essex
Archie is a 13 month neutered male. Archie is a nervous little boy which can come out in aggression. Once he knows you he will let you handle him all over and doesn’t mind. He is a real sweetie, walks nicely on the lead, likes to play ball will give it up, okay with food and toys, his recall is good. If he feels threatened he may nip. Takes treats nicely, Has not met foster mum’s dogs yet, but met the other foster dog and they took a dislike to each other through the pens but then both young males. We don’t think he’s been walked too much as he is not too keen on getting his feet wet and dirty and doesn’t like stones in his pen. He plays stepping stones with the slabs and into the kennel. When he goes out he trots by your side happily but is a bit spooked by noises and different sounds. Can you give this boy a stable, confident home?
Charlie - Essex
Charlie’s owner died and we were asked by the police to help him as there was nobody to look after him. Charlie is about 3 and is neutered. He loves to play and will bring the toy back to you and gives it up fairly easily. Good off the lead and comes back when called. Charlie has no food or toy aggression. He does get worried about other dogs and won’t settle. We don’t think he’s been socialised much. He loves to be with you and gets very excited when you first meet him and does jump up. He is gradually learning not to but it is a slow process. Charlie is a real people dog and loves attention. Can you give this boy a home?
Marley - Nottingham
This is the gorgeous Marley. He is 7 months old so still very much still in puppy mode as far as training and learning go but his foster mum says he is coming along great. Marley lives with a small dog and a little girl of 3 who he is fine with but at the moment a little too interested in the cat but not in a nasty way. He has already learnt how to counter surf probably due to the previous owner only feeding him on scraps of human food! He is up to date with his vacs and also microchipped. Marley is an absolute stunner who will be a welcome addition to any family.
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR MARLEY IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN HOME CHECKED.
Chalky - Devon
Chalky is a 4-year-old neutered male. He is good with children but has only met them over 7, and other dogs (has lived with a Westie and another GSD in the past) but will chase cats. Chalky can be nervous of strangers but never shows this in the form of aggression. He loves walking in groups, will play all day and loves water! He has had one of his canines removed after splitting it on a stone he was playing with on the beach! This gorgeous boy is being rehomed through no fault of his own but his owner is due to have major surgery.
Zack - Surrey
Zack is a 5-year-old neutered male. The current owners have only had him a short time but say he has lived with children aged 10 at his previous home. He is also supposed to be good with other dogs and cats. Our volunteer found him to be very nervous and will need a home with time and experience to deal with this. Zack tries to dominate all situations by barking but our volunteer did not feel threatened. His current owners just do not have the experience for this breed and he needs a new home very quickly for his own sake.
Chlichie - Surrey
This beautiful boy was put into kennels 6 weeks ago because his owner was taken to hospital. The poor lad is nervous so kennel staff wouldn't go near him. Consequently, he has not been out of the kennel! John from BIGGSD went up a couple of days ago and within 15 mins had Chlichie out of the kennel - he was an absolute pussycat. This poor dog just wants company, walks and cuddles so desperately needs a home. Please, can we get this dog a home before Xmas?
Arko - Middlesex
Arko is a 1-year-old neutered male. He is good with children and other dogs but not cats. He can be quite wary of strangers and will jump about barking whether in the home or out on walks. He has nipped before. Arko needs an experienced owner who can give him the training and exercise a dog of this age needs and which he is missing out on at present. Arko is still with his owner
GSDR DOES NOT APPROVE OF EITHER PRONG OR SHOCK COLLARS BELIEVING THEM TO BE CRUEL AND INAPPROPRIATE METHODS OF TRAINING. ARKO IS NOT IN OUR CARE.
Teagan - Truro
Teagan is a 4yr old spayed girl who is good around children of all ages. She also ignores dogs and will just walk pass. She does spend most of the time outside which she prefers but will sleep in the utility room if need be. Teagan is a little timid but this could be because she lost her playmate last year. She may benefit from being rehomed with another dog which could help her. She is a very calm well behaved dog.
Mac - Essex
Mac is a gorgeous 7yr old entire boy who needs to be rehomed as he has become protective over a small child. He is a typical GSD, with a protective nature and vocal around strangers. On walks, he does start off by pulling that does settle down after a while. He has not met cats so no sure how he would react when seeing one. He has lived with other dogs. Mac does not like baths and the rain but does love playing with his toys and will give them to you to play. He will need to be rehomed with older children who have GSD experience.
