Misty

Misty is a lively 4-year-old GSD she initially barked and guarded when I first went into the house she soon calmed down with reassurance from her owners she took treats from me gently and let me make a fuss of her she would sit and come when asked. When on the lead she is quite lively and pulls if not checked although I didn't let her off her owner said her recall is good and they said she is ok with other dogs when out. I feel that Misty would be best with someone experienced with GSD's who has time to play with misty and further her training  Misty is not spayed she has just had her season in May, we would advise that Misty be re-homed with an adult household. Misty has only been with this family for 1 year, not sure where she was prior to this. She is not up to date with vaccinations.

Rocky

Rocky is 2.5 years of age and needs a new home because his present owner abandoned him. He left the dog with his ex-partner.  Unfortunately, she cannot afford to give him the attention he craves and he does not get the exercise required.  Rocky is very friendly and gets on well with children. He also lives at the moment with another dog. Not sure though how he gets on with other dogs outside the home.  Rocky is still entire and has not been vaccinated. No known health issues.  Rocky let our assessor examine him and he never once showed any sign of aggression when he was pulling him this-way-and-that.  All he wanted to do was play.  This dog will make someone an excellent companion.

Kai

Kai is a 2 yr old entire male he is a stunning boy.He is vaccinated He does not like children so he must go to an adult home only.We do not know why he doesn't like children but he does bark when he see's or hears them. Kai was bought to be a working dog, but has got joint problems so is of no use. We have been told by the vet that this will not be a problem in a normal home. Our volunteer said on meeting Kai that if he ha the room he would take him. Walked well on the lead, but he will need to go to a home who has had a GSD before and understands the breed.

Billy

This lady is 3 yr old, spayed bitch, Billie. Up to date with vaccinations, not microchipped. Billie lives outdoors & is chained all day as there is a public footpath running through the owners garden. Billie goes mad when she sees another dog on walks, but does live with a Jack Russell.  Only been around children over the age of 13 yrs. No food or toy aggression. Travels ok on short journeys. Good with horses. A pleasant gentle girl with people needs a nice home with patient owners who will teach her how to enjoy life.

Marley

Marley is a 5-year-old spayed bitch. Marley will ignore other dogs and children but does chase cats. Marley is a lovely friendly girl and is great with the 5-year-old she lives with despite getting pulled about.  She walks nicely on the lead with a halti but will need work on her recall as she has been in kennels for 9 months and only just returned home. This was due to a new relationship and the partner not having confidence around large dogs and the reason why she is being rehomed.

Petra

This sweet lady is 7 yr old, unspayed bitch, Petra. Vaccinated, booster due July/10. Petra is fine with children. A nice friendly girl with people. Petra has lived all her life with her litter mate Zoe, but needs a new home without Zoe, as she bullies Petra. Lives outside, but could be housetrained. Travels well in the car. No food or toy aggression issues. Petra needs a bath & good grooming. Would be fine with a steady male GSD, or as an only dog. Cats no. Needs out urgently.

Molly

This pretty girl is Molly, approximately 2 yrs old. Molly was a stray, did her time in the pound & has spent some time in foster, now she is ready for her new life to begin. Molly is fine with other dogs but wants to be the boss, so would need experienced owners. Cats a definite no. Fine with children. Molly is house trained, lead trained & has good recall. A lovely young girl.

Dolly

This very pretty lady is 21 months old, unspayed bitch, Dolly. Not up to date with vaccinations. Dolly is microchipped. Housetrained & travels well. Cats definite no. Dolly is a happy content dog in her own home, but is nervous of new people & situations, would benefit from some socialising & another confident dog. Plays nicely with other dogs off lead, but barks when on the lead. Needs a new home asap as her owner is moving house. Lives with children from ages 5 yrs upwards.

Lara

This stunner, is 16 mth old, unspayed bitch, Lara. Housetrained. Vaccinated, not microchipped. Lara is a very pretty girl, who when she initially meets you is nervous. Lara is in foster care with another steady German Shepherd bitch who has helped Lara overcome her nervousness really well. Lara would benefit from the company of another dog & a household that isn't too busy. Travels fine. 

Copper

This cheeky chap is 2 yr old, entire male, Cooper. Up to date with vaccinations. Cooper is fine with other dogs. Cooper lives outside in a run/kennel & can be protective of his space, but our assessor walked into there no problem. Cooper seems a playful dog and just needs an experienced owner.

Izzy

This stunner, is 4 yr old long coated bitch, Izzy. Vaccinated & microchipped. Izzy has also been spayed. Housetrained & travels well. Izzy is a great, friendly girl, who loves human company. Is playful with other dogs, not known how she would be with cats. Izzy loves to be groomed. Fine with children, is gentle with young ones & loves to play with older children. An all round wonderful girl!
