MORE RESCUE DOGS REHOMED >>>>>>>
Bullet
Bullet is almost 4 years old, He has just been neutered. He was living on a balcony of a flat and is now living with one of our fosterers. He has been fine with her dogs and fine with people after he has met them. He was living with younger children but would probably be best with older dog wise children. Unknown with cats.
Dodger
Dodger is a 4-year-old entire male. His current owners do not have the time he deserves now there is a baby in the house plus he will be left all day on his own soon as they will be both working full time. Dodger is good with children but very bouncy and playful. This poor friendly lad just needs a home where he will get the exercise and training he needs. He is currently being very vocal to let out his frustration.
Stan
This sweet face belongs to Stan, who was a stray. A gorgeous looking dog, just typical behaviour for his age. This is what our volunteer had to say about him;- "He's 8-12 months old. Very quiet, but finder says jumps up a lot and mouths. Didn't bark when I arrived, didn't make a fuss when I went in the house. Pull on the lead but easily corrected. Will bark at other dogs, but no nastiness. Barks at cats, but not been close enough to test. Limps on the front left paw, but will let you look at it. Looked in the mouth (lovely clean teeth), lets you look in his ears. Finder says he's not too fond of men. Takes treats nicely, good with children. Doesn't like being left alone. Empties the bin, Surfs the counter worktops. Opens doors, fond of sitting on the furniture/beds........basically just a normal GSD pup/teenager."
Ace
This lovely looking boy, is 22 mth old, neutered male, Ace. A great temperament and a fit & healthy dog! Fine with other dogs. Ace has been around children but is nervous of little ones. Cats unknown. Housetrained. Vaccinated. Ace loves playing in any water. Pulls on the lead at first, but soon settles. Needs a new home due to his owners' health issues.
Elwood
Elwood is a 5 yr old, neutered male. He has had an awful life, being part of a cruelty case, after being kept in a cage in a dark shed for a very long time. Elwood loves being in the car & is housetrained. Microchipped & vaccinated. Elwood does suffer from infections in one ear, but it responds well to treatment. Very playful with toys. Elwood is learning how to live in a busy household, certain things stress him & he needs an experienced owner to help him to overcome his nervousness & fears. A really nice dog.
Bear
Bear is a beautiful 7yr old neutered ex-security dog who currently lives with another dog but on an outside basis. Because he was an ex-working dog, he still occasionally reverts back to his work mode when on a lead so, therefore, its best to walk him with a muzzle. It would be best for him to be rehomed on his own with an experienced GSD owner. If left on his own he does have the naughty habit of opening the fridge and helping himself. The volunteer who assessed him stated that once he gets to know you he is a loving, loyal, trusting dog.
Red
Red is a neutered male approximately 6 years old. He was saved from the pound where he was about to be put to sleep as his 7 days were up. He had been picked up as a stray. He is very friendly, travels well and ignores other dogs when out walking. He is fine with cats. Red would benefit from being the only dog as he will stand up for himself if confronted by another dog within the ‘pack’. Red has obviously never had his own toys and will be toy possessive and will, therefore, need someone patient and experienced to work on this issue. Red will be your friend forever. He adores people.
Lady
Lady is a 4-year-old unspayed bitch. She is fantastic with young children and plays with cats! Lady does not like other dogs though if they show any aggression or bark at her. She does live with another dog but it would be bets for her to be the only dog. She can pull on the lead but is good on a halti. She is being rehomed due to the owner’s health.
Kia
Meet Kia, she is a beautiful young girl of 12 months. black and tan. She is entire and not yet had her first season so still very much a baby. She is vaccinated till Feb 2011, she is fine with children from 3 - 14yrs. she is good with other dogs., has not had anything to do with cats so unknown but with her gentle nature should be ok. The reason for parting marriage break up or this girl would not be up for re homing.
Trevor
A very tragic situation, his female owner is now in hospital with cancer and I am told she is unlikely to come out. Trevor was going to be put to sleep as she had no one to take him and will loose her house whilst in the hospital. I kind friend took him as he says he couldn't see him pts. Trevor is a large, 18 mth old long haired black entire GSD, they are convinced he is up to date with all his injections, he is in very good condition and is lovely with people. It is thought that he has not been socialised outside the home, i.e. not walked, doesn't know how to play with toys, but loves his paw to be held sat for quite a while with me like that ! He is very bouncy and excitable and would probably knock over any small child or frail person. He did calm down once I got into the house and he got used to me, he didn't bark or show any aggression towards me. Took treats nicely. We went for a walk, which is new to him and he pulled to be out, but not too badly, let off lead and came back when called. The Friend thinks he wants to play with dogs but as he has only had him a few days is not confident to let him off lead and play. Has walked him with another shepherd, Trevor ok wanting to play but the other shepherd bitch growled at him.
Angel
Meet Angel .Another found and placed in a pound. She’s about 5 - 6 months, vaccinated, wormed and flea’d. Poor little girl doesn't know what’s happening to her and she is frightened, but not aggressively so. She wets herself when approached. Nevertheless, I think she will make a really good dog once she settles with someone. She is quite responsive when spoken to. We had her out with the other dog and she barked initially, but soon calmed down and was friendly with him. She is a beautiful looking dog and will be quite stunning when she fills out a bit more. Dew claws on her back legs need removing. Travelled perfectly in the car. She needs someone with a bit of GSD experience, but will respond to kindness. Don't know what she would be like with children, but I would guess she would be OK if they were responsible
