Narla - North Lincolnshire

Narla ( GSD x Rottweiler )

Poor Narla has not had much of a start in life. She was owned by a chap who used her to breed and then neglected her, locking her in a stable. Her present owners rescued her to give birth to her pups inside a house and then kept her. They do not want to rehome her and would be happy to keep her, but there is aggression between her and the family JRT. This was initiated by the JRT, but it is now an ongoing feud. Narla is otherwise good with dogs, and we have seen a video of her sharing a bed with another of the family's dogs.

Our assessors described Narla as a 'lovely young lady'. She is boisterous and friendly with humans, but she has had virtually no training. She spends the days outside loose in a stable yard and is a rough and tumble outdoor dog in the main. She does live indoors and is fully housetrained but she has not been taught how to behave nor walk well on a lead.

Narla will be a handful, initially, but once trained she should be a lovely dog. Her basic nature is cheerful and affectionate and, once taught manners, she will make a lovely companion.

Are you up to the Narla challenge?
