Dexter - Middlesbrough

Dexter was rescued from a dire situation and although he had been abused in the past our volunteer found him to be very friendly. He let him play ball and even stroke his head which surprised the owner due to his abusive home that he was rescued from.

Our volunteer took Dexter for a walk and he was quite good for a while, but then he decided he did not like the halti and tried to remove it. We are sure that with further training there will be no need for him to wear this.

Although we’ve been told that he only likes female dogs we would still prefer for him to be homed as the only dog.

Dexter is a handsome dog, he knows some basic commands he will sit, lay down and give you his paw. He has not been neutered or micro chipped so this would need to be a priority. He also loves to play ball and will drop at your feet to throw it for him.

Unfortunately, the new owner cannot give Dexter the time he requires; therefore she reluctantly needs to find a new home for him as he does require lots of exercise. He does not like to be left alone for long although if he has had a good walk before leaving him he is generally OK.

Dexter is crate trained and sleeps in this at night. We are sure that he will make an excellent addition to the family and to be given the chance to live the life he thoroughly deserves.
