Zeus is a 2 year old boy who is a friendly dog and loves to play ball but for sometime now Zeus hasn't been out and about and basically has a garden to run around in. Zeus greeted our assessors in a friendly manner and was very excited to have someone take an interest in him. We are told Zeus is too strong now for anyone in the family to walk him and he has never been allowed off lead since he was purchased as a puppy. Our assessor took Zeus out for a walk and he was very excited but with a head collar manageable. Zeus is a typical shepherd in that he is wary of strangers but once he knows you absolutely fine. Sadly Zeus is now in kennels where we hope to continue his basic training and get him more relaxed around people and going for walks externally. He still is extremely head shy and anyone wishing to meet Zeus would probably have to come and walk him at the kennels and get to know him slowly and patiently. With our volunteers he is absolutely fine and looks forward to their visits to break up the monotony of kennel life.
