Zeus is looking for a new home as he is over protective of his territory and owner plus a baby is due very soon.
Zeus is a lovely large hairy boy who is looking for a new home with someone who will work with his issues. He is very good with children but will try to over protect them.
He has not had much contact with other dogs and dose not tolerate them very well, although he stays with a family with 3 dogs when his owner goes on holiday, so again I think this is due to his over protection issue.Our volunteer who did his assessment said he was very friendly and did not bark when they visited the home to do assessment.
Zeus will need help to get over his issue and as he will bark and howl when left alone I would put his issues down to being insecure. He is a friendly boy and I feel in the right home this boy could flourish, but it will take a little time and patients from an adopter who is very experienced with German shepherds. He is always walked on the lead and never off as his owner fears he could be aggressive with other dogs. If you think you could put the time into this boy you will have a wonderful dog, he just needs some help to get there.
