Zara

Meet Zara who is 15mths old and is currently looking for her forever home through no fault of her own. Sadly Zara’s dad has passed away and she is being looked after by a relative who cannot keep her and she’s not getting the direction or exercise she desperately needs

Zara is a black and sable short coat who is vaccinated but not spayed at the moment as she’s only just had her first season

She is very excitable and bouncy which is typical for her age and with a GSD that really doesn’t appear to have had much training or understand basic commands but Zara is a very clever girl and is eager to learn

Zara is housetrained and whines when she wants to go out to toilet

Zara was very excited when our volunteer went out to see her, she was barking with excitement and jumping up to greet her

She had no issues with her running her hands along her body or checking her ears and teeth

She loved getting in the car and being taken out for a walk with our volunteer, Zara was strong on the lead and it was quite obvious she hasn’t been outside the garden for a year

Zara did bark and pull towards dogs when she saw them in the distance as she doesn’t know how to react due to lack of socialisation but with a new home where her new owners are willing to to give her the time to train her she will excel and make a wonderful companion as she just wants to please

We would suggest that Zara is the only dog in the home, she could live with older children aged 10, this is due to her being boisterous

Zara really deserves her chance to be the wonderful girl she could be in an experienced home full of love
