This is the beautiful Zaffa. He is currently in foster and resides happily with another GSD. We believe Zaffa is approximately 10 years old. He is looking for a lovely quiet retirement home. He has not had the best life. His previous owner has sadly passed away, and he was booked to be PTS shortly after. This would have been a complete waste of a beautiful life as this is one of the most gentle affectionate dogs his foster parents have cared for.
He is now eating well, and learning some skills such as sit and stay. His coat has been groomed and now looking lovely and feeling much softer! He adores his ears being stroked and has developed a liking for cuddles and will nudge your hand for more!
Following a visit to the vets it has been confirmed that Zaffa is blind. However, this should not put off any perspective adopter. He is so clever! He mapped out his foster home within minutes, including stairs. He runs around the field playing with other dogs, and most people are shocked to discover he is blind. He enjoys nothing more than a nice long walk, and is very active, currently enjoying 3 good walks a day.
Zaffa does need a home where he will have company all day. Once he has bonded with you he likes to be with you. Would be a perfect companion for a retired family. Please don't overlook Zaffa due to him being blind, he will love and adore you and be your best friend.
