Xena is an 11 months Mal x GSD.
She had a rough start in life after suffering a fractured pelvis from her original 'owner' abusing her. The breeder didn't want to take her back and so she was surrendered to the kennels where GSDR stepped in. She was very scared of some people, other dogs and the big wide world but she has come on leaps and bounds. She currently lives in foster (and for the past 4.5 months) with myself, my partner, twin 18 month old boys and 8 other dogs.
She adores our dogs and is the most sweet loving girl you will ever meet. She likes to learn and use her brain. She would choose learning or scent games over a long walk any day of the week.
She adores my twins and is very very good with them, but she is a typical big puppy and could knock a small child down by accident so she would be better suited to home with older children from about 10 and up. She hasn't met any cats because not many live near us, but she shows drive in play that leads me to think a cat free home would be better.
She can live with other dogs, but needs to be introduced to not overwhelm her.
She walks well on the lead but the moment she sees a football she will do anything to get to the football so we walk her in a perfect fit harness or when I was poorly a dogmatic.
She is crate trained and toilet trained.
Xena just wants someone to love her and someone she can love in return.
We have bought her a special collar for the day she is adopted and she can't wait to find her new mum/dad.
