Stunning 4yr old Winston, has had a really rough ride. The first two years of his life were spent with an abusive owner who had him muzzled 24/7. When he was first rescued his owners had to teach him how to eat from a bowl. They have done a lot of work building up Winstons confidence and overcoming his anxieties related to being beaten regularly. Unfortunately their daughter was recently diagnosed with asthma, Winston playing a part in aggravating this. He was banished from the house into an outdoor run. This was working ok until the daughter gave a sausage to her Dad that turned out to be laced with rat poison! Obviously meant for Winston, his owner contacted us, fearing for the safety of Winston and his children. Winston is now settling into foster. He can be quite feisty,probably due to his background, but is now happily living with 3 other GSDs. He is good with the children he has met but due to his over protectiveness we wouldn't rehome him with young children. Winston is quite vocal and reactive to noise. This adorable lad is now looking for a loving calm home who can continue to nurture him. Winston is underweight at the moment but gaining weight slowly. An adorable, loving lad who just needs a new beginning with a confident owner.
