WILLOW

Willow is a one-year-old Belgian Malinois X GSD. Willow and her siblings came to us last year from the breeder at four months old. The kennel staff and our volunteers have worked hard with Willow to build her confidence.

She gets walked by our volunteers every week and is fine with other dogs. She gets to go out of the kennels for the day to socialise with our volunteer dogs.

She knows her commands and does not pull on the lead.

Willow is a very quiet and gentle girl and will need a quiet forever home. She can live with another dog and older children only.

Here is an update on Willow's training progress from David

"Willow was very nervous and timid the first time I walked she had to be carried to my van after spending the first months of her life in kennels the outside world was daunting. I set myself a goal that I wanted to see this girl enjoy life. The good news is she has come on leaps and bounds, she a great recall and down and learns things very quickly and would make a great working trials or agility dog being so bright. On the other hand she would be happy going for walks and chilling because if you create the right bond with her she will give you lots of love back. I have walked her with my own gsd bitch and other volunteers she has been fine. I would not recommend her with young children due to being nervous at times."

It’s time Willow found her forever home. She will need somebody who has the time and patience to build her confidence in a home environment.
