Willow is a 2 year old, neutered, short haired, female German shepherd looking for a new home as her owner has sadly passed away. Her mum is unable to cope with her and has made the very difficult decision to find her a new home where she can live life to the full.
Willow is an intelligent, responsive young girl who is eager to learn and works for treats or toys. She has good recall and loves to play fetch. We are also told she likes to play in water!
She has been around children 13 years old and upwards so could live with them again. She’s also lived with a dog previously. She can be reactive on lead when seeing other dogs however she is fine off lead. She does walk on a dogmatic head collar to help with this. She’s never been around cats.
She does sometimes get itchy with a suspected dust mite allergy for which she has an injection from the vet. More information can be given on this on request.
Willow is a friendly girl who enjoys being around people. She knows a few tricks such as sit, paw and down. I’m sure she’d happily learn more if someone wanted to teach her. She is fine to be left and travels well, although she hasn’t been in a car in a while.
She is currently in Dorset eagerly awaiting her new family. She comes with her toys and is really hoping a fresh start in the new year will help her adjust to the loss of her Dad.
