Max - West Yorkshire

Here we have Max a 14 month old who is looking to be re homed due to the need of a more experienced owner and one that can cope with a youngster who already weighs 45 kilos. Max barked when he met our volunteer and it took him a while to settle and come over to sniff out the visitor, however when he did he was happy to take treats very gently. Outside on the walk he is fairly strong on the lead but controllable and he walked past a cat with no reaction and also another dog who was  behind a gate. However on returning home he did bark at a lady passerby who he obviously considered too close to his house, Max maybe 14 months but he hasnt had much socialisation in his young life and it is our opinion with a more confident owner he should settle and not be such an anxious dog, especially when visitors arrive at the home. In the house he sleeps in a crate with the door always open and he has a favourite blanket that acts as a soother.
