Guy - West Yorkshire

Guy - West Yorkshire
URGENT HOME NEEDED: Guy's owner is 81 and suffers ill health and mobility problems which result in her having falls, she is due to move nearer to her son because of this.

Guy has only ever been walked once so has not had the socialisation and exposure to life that a young dog should have had. Consequently he is a nervous dog and unsure of people and their reactions.

He was walked as part of his assessment and tried to run back into the house when we set off. He spent the majority of the walk with his tail clamped between his legs and scooting around on the lead, clearly afraid of traffic and the sights and sounds of being outdoors. He did settle for part and allowed himself to relax slightly and have a sniff around before remembering where he was!

Guy will need an experienced home without children to socialise him, teach him about etiquette/manners and let him experience life. He will need a patient owner who is confident with introductions in the home.

A home with another dog would probably be beneficial for his confidence, he previously lived with an elderly Great Dane until 6 months ago who he enjoyed playing with.
