Ted did his seven days in the pound, and then we rescued him. He was very frightened and unsure in the pound, was difficult to put a lead on and would give you a little nip. He would also lay flat when trying to get him in the van. We worked with him making it fun, and he's now happy to go in the van. Still, work in progress with his lead, you just need to get him calm first.
Ted is a beautiful and lovely boy, as above when he first came to us, he was nervous and didn't like having his head touched, but he is certainly coming out of his shell! He is a bit strong on the lead and doesn't like putting it on, but other than that he is just wonderful, Ted is very playful and sits for his treats which he takes nicely. He now doesn't mind head strokes and loves a good belly rub! With a bit of training on the lead, he will make a perfect new family member.
Ted seems calm around other dogs; he does not react when out on the lead or when passing dogs in the kennels.
