This poor boy had been left with his brother in an abandoned lock up after their owner had closed his business down. They were both filthy and from what we have learnt we doubt that they have seen much in the way of human kindness and they certainly didn’t deserve to live their days like this so we arranged for their owner to hand them over.
Joe is now under our care and in kennels and although he is doing really well, we feel that he now needs to have a one to one loving home. He seems good with other dogs and a very loving boy, just wants to be reassured.
Joe will need an experienced home where he can continue his education.
Some feedback from our volunteers who have been involved in walking Joe :
Big fluffy shep that seems to take life in his stride. Loves his cuddles and stroking to say the life he's had he's a very happy lad. Big personality who want a fuss and to play and just wants to please you.
Joe is a slightly shy sweetheart. He's a little unsure when out of his kennel and looks for reassurance from his walker. He loves a cuddle and is happy being brushed. Joe is very handsome but needs some feeding up. He is interested in everything but a bit fazed by things sometimes. He barks at other dogs but doesn't appear aggressive. He is easily distracted. He needs his confidence building and will make the most wonderful companion.
