Max - West Midlands

Max was urgently lifted by another rescue to get him safely into kennels after his owner couldn't cope with her two dogs fighting. Max was taken to the vets to be put to sleep but thankfully the vet refused!

Now GSDR is hoping to find a new forever home for this loving affectionate GSD Cross.

Max has only been in his last home for 4 months (he was taken in by a family friend) where he received much more attention, was microchipped and castrated and happily lived with a 7-year-old child. The family friend told us that Max was purchased as a puppy of 8 weeks but was kept caged most of the day and if he didn't listen his owner would hit him. She eventually took him off his previous owner because she could no longer stand to see him looking so scared.

However, over the last few weeks, the fights between the other dog in the household had become too much hence Max needing to find a new place to live.

Now he is in kennels, where he is being a very friendly sociable boy but obviously a little bewildered as to how he has ended up there. Max appears friendly around other dogs but with the history above would probably be best as the only dog or he could live with a female dog. If you can help this little man then please get in touch asap.

Max is a very sweet affectionate dog.
