Woo what a beauty we have here in handsome 8 month old pup Zak. A big lad for his age and looking to be re homed due to owners ill health and no longer capable of long walks and the continued socialisation of this much loved boy. He greeted our assessor well, some attention seeking behaviour of nibbling and mouthing but when told by owner he dutifully went to his bed then typical pup back 5 minutes later! On the lead Zak is strong and tries to chew the lead but as he is treat orientated he was easy to distract and maintain a decent walk. We would advise a dog matic style head collar would also help through initial training for lead work. Zak has good recall when off lead and does listen to his owner, he is good with other dogs and had dogs in the home quite happily. We are told he has been nipped and yapped at by little dogs in the park and hasn't reacted at all. he just wants to play. Although because he is such a big exuberant puppy, the owner has kept him under control as doesn't want him hurting other dogs. Zak has basic commands and ripe for further training. He is a large dog at only 8 months old and we would advise re homing with teenage dog savvy children.
