Walter is a gorgeous 2 year old boy who is on the lookout for a new home. Walter is a lovely dog but he is having trouble adjusting to the new baby in his current home. He is a bit too big and clumsy and does not always tolerate the baby so he has found himself being secluded in a room on a regular basis.
When our volunteer went to meet Walter, he was vocal and nervous at first. He tends to bark and jump up at people who come into the home, but with a bit of time and some treats, he does eventually settle and shows his sweet nature. He is a loving dog, he just has anxieties around strangers and feels he needs to guard his home so he would benefit from an experienced owner who can help him build his confidence.
Walter walks very good on the lead, and did not react to other dogs when our volunteer took him out. He also knows basic commands such as sit, paw, etc...
This boy is beautiful inside and out, he simply needs someone to guide him and show him his place within the family so he feels safe and happy.
