Feast your eyes on this gorgeous girl. Her name is Velka, she is approx. 2/3 years old, she was picked up as a stray, did her 7 days and we decided to help her.
She is currently in kennels, a bit nervous meeting new people although only takes one visit and will then accept you, especially if you bring her some tasty treats. She doesn’t react to dogs when out and about, apart from if they are flying towards her, will walk nicely with her kennel chums, although reactive when in kennels.
When trying something new, you have to be patient with her as she needs time to process. She was hesitant in getting into the van, this was a little over whelming for her at first, but just sat with her and let her understand she wasn’t going to be forced into it, took her 5 minutes and then she jumped in.
She’s a very clever girl and listens to what you say, will do anything for a treat. Kennels is sending her a little stir-crazy, so really looking for an urgent experienced home. Velka needs someone who has the time to take her out for some long walks (she never gets tired), someone who has experience of the breed, lets not forget she is GSD x Husky type, oh and she will need a really high fence as she doesn’t have a problem climbing the bars in the kennels and will hang on in the corner.
Velka is such a loving girl, she likes nothing more than a cuddle. She’s a little on the thin side, although has put on a few pounds since she’s been with us. I would say that Velka would benefit with a strong male dog, one who can hold his own, I think she would be up for some serious play.
