UPDATED JAN 24
Vador has really grown in confidence and becoming a cracking dog as you can see he’s looking in peak condition. Someone just needs to give this young dog a chance as he’s wasted sat waiting in kennels and as you can imagine is getting a bit miffed off and bored, he’s a young dog and needs some 121 attention.
He’s a fantastic traveller, jumps in the crate no problem and you don’t hear a peep from him. When out walking his nose is down and he’s taking in all the smells, he doesn’t react to people and if a dog is close by he does get overly excited but no aggression. He plays with several females at the kennels, he is fast and does get a little hyper but with a confident female he soon understands the rules.
We are looking for an experienced GSD owner someone who has the time and knowledge to bring this boy on as he only knows basic commands so a bit of a blank canvas to work with.
Vador is still looking for his forever home he’s currently in kennels and although initially he seemed wary he has now grown in confidence since he came to us from the pound. A few pics of him visiting Jollyes pet store where he happily greeted customers, he loved the attention. He definitely needs a job as he’s a busy young lad.
Vador was nervous of new people when he first came to us, but is growing in confidence and improving every day. He has already been taken out on a few walks, where he hasn't reacted to dogs or people. He recently attended Shepfest with our volunteers, where he made a good start in experiencing a busier environment, with lots of people and dogs doing activities around him.
Vador is an active, playful boy who will benefit from an active home. He is strong on the lead and will require training. We think he would potentially love activities such as Flyball or Canicross.
Vador has enjoyed playing and socialising with another female GSD in kennels, and enjoys a run around together, although like a typical, inexperienced youngster, he can be a little OTT at times. He would benefit from being with a calmer, confident dog who will teach him "the rules". He is not suitable to live with cats, and we would not house with younger children as we do not have a history on him, due to him coming in as a stray.
