Tsuki - East Riding

Tsuki - East Riding

Tsuki pronounced, Sookie is 9 Months old, born on 21/05/17.

Sookie is very timid around people she doesn’t know, including children but especially men. Once she gains your trust, then she is quite happy to give you lots of cuddles and kisses.

She is great with most dogs, although she is not keen on dogs that get over zealous with her. She tends to run away or hide behind your legs.

She recently went on her first group walk, she was a bit overwhelmed at first, but soon started to approach people, by the end of the walk she seemed to gain in confidence, after people gave her treats. She loves the water and swimming!

Sookie walks ok on the lead, but will pull if she can get away with it, we are working on that. She is learning so much from the resident dog and that’s why we would like Sookie to go to a Home with one or more dogs. She enjoys playing ball, not good at fetching it back though. Off lead her recall is good. But if there are birds, she can get easily distracted, but will eventually come back in her own time. A definite no with cats.

She enjoys being bathed, and brushed. Sookie has no food aggression at all, you can take food away from her, also toys. When she first came to us she would snatch treat’s, but has been taught the word “gently” and she is getting better. She knows a few basic commands. Sookie is housetrained, she lets you know when she wants to go outside by whimpering and nudging your hand. She happily sleeps in her crate at night and quite happy to be left.

Sookie has improved a lot, from the scared puppy that was picked up a few week ago. She is walked twice a day with our dogs. So a balanced dog in her new home is a must. Also a person that is willing to be patient with her to build her confidence and gain her trust.

Her foster Mum and dad are willing to meet up with potential adopters, so Sookie can get used to them before being rehomed to the right person.
