Troy Older German Shepherd
Troy - Urgently needs a home

Please don't let this poor dog spend the rest of his life in a kennel. He needs a loving home.
Meet Troy; he is a German Shepherd that was brought back to us in October 2006 after two year due to marial split and prviously in April 2004, after two years due to changed circumstances in the family that meant he was being left for long periods.
Troy is a nine and a-half-year-old black and tan castrated male dog that has to be rehomed again through no fault of his own. He is a very friendly and affectionate lad that has settled in quickly and bonds well with people, being immensely loving and loyal – and is happy to accompany them everywhere. Sadly dear Troy has problems with his lower back and is on limited exercise and play but still thoroughly enjoys himself - and is on medication and is under veterinary suervision. He has a fabulous nature, loves playing ball and will make a great companion. His only fault is that he is dog aggressive, so would need to be rehomed as an only dog. He loves going for short walks but is very strong on the lead when out walking so is being trained to walk nicely on a harness – as he is dog aggressive he should not be let off the lead in public places. As a result, he is looking for a new household with a fairly secure garden, is not good with the feline variety but is good with children of all ages.
Can you offer Troy a new home? Can you give this friendly lad that loves the company of humans the love he wants again?

"How Could You?" should bring tears to your eyes. It is very sad fact of life that many faithful pets have become disposable items and will be discarded, no longer required. Many of these will die unwanted, unloved and alone having spent the last few days, weeks or months in a filthy dank dirty kennel. Their final reward - a lethal injection!!
Poor Archie wasn't quite so lucky. His story highlights the plight of older dogs
There are always older dogs like Troy looking for a nice home. Please don't overlook a dog because of age, the older ones have so much to give.
