Thorin - Somerset

Thorin who is a full pedigree GSD whose just 3 years old 

Volunteer report: On arrival Thorin was in the garden looking over the wall. As I approached the gate I was greeted by a large, healthy, pure black, calm and friendly entire purebred short haired German Shepherd.

Thorin is extremely obedient with an amazing temperament. He often sits in the back garden nose to nose with newborn lambs and only a 2-foot fence between.

His owner and I took Thorin for a walk on the lead a short distance and, despite being a very large dog, he was very well behaved with just a small amount of tension on the lead due to the initial excitement of going for a walk.

Once off the road and into the field, I let Thorin off the lead and he did the usual sniffing but didn't venture more than about 100 yards or so. We came across a border collie who he greeted quietly. Once called, Thorin came straight back with no hesitation.

Thorin would be best suited to an active owner who could give him lots of exercise and something to occupy his brain. He would make a good agility or working trials dog.

Thorin has not been tested with cats but I have no reason to think he would react negatively. The family has two young children, he is happy and used to living with them.

No amount of word or photos can explain how good this dog is.
