Thor - West Yorks

Thor - West Yorks

URGENT:   We desperately need a home for Thor, he is recovering from surgery for Bloat and is only able to stay in the foster home he is recuperating in for another week.    It would be hugely stressful and detrimental to his recovery to have to go back into kennels.   Can anyone help please?

Meet Thor the gorgeous boy who despite recovering from major surgery has shown great affection for his foster family. He likes to meet new people and once he's received a fuss/stroke he'll settle down. He's clean in the house and will quite happily do his business and return to sitting/laying down to watch the world go by. He will chase a ball but doesn't always like to return it. Thor can become a little possessive over things he runs off with, such as toys and blankets, and will need some work with this. He settles in a crate on a night and I don't hear a peep out of him until the resident dog wakes everyone up! I've only heard him bark when Sash does. Responds well to firm verbal commands which will help his new owner set clear boundaries. He travels well in a car. Thor needs a confident and experienced mum or dad to show him the ropes. He has good basic commands but needs work with these. He walks reasonably well on a lead but can be reactive to other dogs initially. He will need gradual controlled introductions. He is a very handsome loving boy who needs his own place now. He is very thin and needs building up to become the majestic dog he is intended to be. Can you offer him the fantastic home he deserves so he can start to enjoy the life he very nearly didn't have!
