Tara is a 6 year old shepherd who lives with a couple who have visiting grand children, who Tara loves to bits, but in true shep fashion can be known to bark and protect her family. In fact she has recently ripped a jacket of a worker trying to get into the property whilst she was out loose in the garden which has made them very nervous. At our assessment Tara was absolutely fine when our assessor arrived, although she found Tara slightly nervous to start with. a little skittish and keeping her distance - but felt she was soon won over when the digestive biscuits were handed out. Generally happy to be touched all over later, slight pull away when trying to check teeth. Basically Tara is a nice dog who should soon warm to new people and one who loves being outside and playing with her beloved ball. Tara is good on the lead and has excellent recall. We are told that Tara can be reactive to other dogs, especially on the lead however whilst out walking we passed a couple of dogs and although she was interested no real aggression shown and therefore feel with a confident owner and careful introduction Tara should settle around other dogs.
