Tara was rescued along with her friend Suzie, they were living outside and paddling around in their own faeces. Anyway, that’s well behind them now and they have settled well and truly into their wonderful foster home.
Several months on and we now have a much better understanding of the girls behaviour both towards human and other dogs. This is what her foster mum had to say:
Tara is a gorgeous, friendly and loving dog who loves playing with her tennis balls and toys. She tends to pull a lot on the lead, is very strong, although in the process of trying her in a dogmatic. She gets very nervous around other dogs and animals, she will then get very vocal and lunge at them.
Tara is currently with her friend Suzie who she has been brought up. We took them to a dog behavioural class who advised us that it would be beneficial for the dogs to be split up as they wind each other up and start to fight therefore they would be much calmer and easier to control if they were separated.
Tara is a lovely dog but she would be much better on her own with a owner who has time, love and patience to build her confidence and give her more of a 121.
