Storm is a very bonny but overweight dog. When our volunteer arrived she just licked his face and then jumped onto his knee. She was certainly very friendly and showed no aggression at all. He even put his hand in her mouth and she did not try to bite. In fact she kept moving her head away. He took her for a walk with one of his own dogs and there were no real issues; a couple of growls from Storm but she soon stopped when told to. She does not like Jack Russells as she has been attacked by one in the past. If she sees one she will let her feelings be known. Storm did nip the owners 2 year old child when playing in the garden. She did not break the skin. Even though she has lived with cats, she now does not like them since being spayed. The owner stated that since Storm has been spayed she is now more nervous and anxious and she does not trust her around her children. Children were certainly not afraid of the dog when our volunteer was there. In fact one of them wanted to play with the dog. Because of this, we would not re-home Storm with children under 10 years of age. We are confident that Storm would make a good companion for someone with experience of the breed, but may be better as an only dog.
