Storm - N. Lincolnshire

STORM IS AN EXCEPTIONAL DOG

Storm came to us as an emergency, as he was abandoned in a flat. The neighbours were feeding him and letting him into the garden but otherwise he was alone and bereft of any company. This sad situation arose as his owners were both seriously ill

We expected the worst when our volunteer arrived to lift him. Storm rushed towards him and then gave him a kiss. We have learned that Storm is an expert in this activity.

He is currently kennelled, until we can rehome him. Our original expectation was that he would need both training and rehabilitation. But no! His kennel buddy, who was to undertake this programme, has had the chance to get to know him. He cannot fault this boy.

Storm has visited his Kennel Buddy at his home and socialised with his dogs and he has met others with no reaction. He has socialised with his friends and simply wants to kiss all humans. He has been walked through the village and encountered a mass of children from a local school. He was completely unreactive. This dog is a paragon, as far as we can tell.

So what is Storm engaged upon now? He is currently working as a service dog at the moment. He is reassuring the kennel owners' small dog that GSDs can be gentle. This boy has always been frightened of GDSs but he is not worried about Storm. So, Storm is using his time in kennels to reassure the little fella.

Are you up for kisses? Then Storm is your boy. Please form an orderly queue.

In the second picture you can see Storm when we first met him.
