Meet Stark a well behaved, but excitable young man. He is a GSD x Collie and 27.5 Kg of ball chasing, obsessive and playful behaviour.
He demands and expects attention constantly - and is vocal when he thinks he is missing out. He has always had a habit of trimming his own fur - more so when left alone. He won’t let the owner brush his back end- but will let the groomers.
He is perhaps best as a sole dog in the home - just to keep him calm. But he loves all dogs and will submit to encourage play. The owner has done a great job - but she can’t cope with a dog and a baby on her own now her husband has left. She has not made the decision lightly.
In summary - a delightful young man. To all but the expert eye Stark appears to be a small Shepherd. Small and agile, he is quick moving, active and constantly seeking attention. Show him that attention and he will completely submit and want to be a forever friend.
He would suit an active home where his mind will be kept busy.- without it he will nibble his fur. Atr Present he spends time with a toy Dachshund - and forgets he is much bigger. He also lives with a tiny baby girl and although a bit jealous - he shows no malice.
He is scared of cats !!
He really does deserve a chance in a home with attentive owners who enjoy lots of interation and exercise. He could live with children but due to his exuberance maybe older children. Initially we would ask that he is the only dog in the home as will want all the attention.
