Handsome Sparky is 2 1/2 yrs old and still entire. He is good with children aged 2yrs plus. This lovely lad is currently in kennels and is being walked by a number of our volunteers. He has recently enjoyed a day at the beach and loved to dig in the sand.
Sparky needs further socialisation with other dogs as he has had little contact with other dogs prior to coming into the care of GSDR. He is improving with the dogs that he meets when out and has been walked with other dogs. Sparky has previously lived with a small cross breed in his previous home. He is unknown with cats although he does come across as likely to chase. Sparky has chased livestock before but soon turned tail and hid behind his owner when he got chased back.
Sparky can open doors and has previously raided a fridge..its amazing what dogs will learn when left to their own devices for long periods of time.
Poor Sparky was not walked regularly with his previous owners and they had him booked in to be destroyed as he had knocked over their toddler. Sparky is a lovely friendly lad, quite bouncy and in need of some training and guidance. He will make a fantastic companion for the right home. Do you have what Sparky needs?
