Sox is a very small GSD, she is four years old and appears fit and healthy - no lumps and bumps, she has a lovely confirmation and no obvious signs of joint/hip problems. Her teeth are white - covered with a little tartar easily removed by some bones. She is fed on wet food and so just switching food might help.
Sox has had basic training, but needs some extra work as she has been a little neglected due to the family struggles, particularly with her recall. Sox is very excitable, her owner thinks this is because she is not able to take her for walks and once exercised calms down.
It is clear that the family are reluctantly giving her up and it is easy to see why.
Sox is a really sweet natured, very loving and friendly dog with people and other dogs. She has been brought up with children.
Sox will chase cats, so a cat free home probably best. The family thinks she would chase, so this might need some work or caution where walked e.g. not around deer.
Sox is used to being left and only barks if she hears noises or sees people walk past the house - so very normal GSD. Sox very occasionally chews, but this has only ever been the daughters trainers.
Sox gets worried by thunderstorms and the wind and is comforted by being wrapped in a blanket.
I would love this girl, she is intelligent and I think would be keen to work and fast to learn - she would make an awesome agility dog for anyone wanting to have a little extra fun.
An excellent dog for first time GSD people
