Sonny is a 2 year old boy who since the new baby arrived has become very protective of the household and indeed the new baby and any stranger visiting gets sharp shrift. Sonny has always been a great family dog there is a 5 year old in the house too, however now the family feel they arent giving Sonny enough time and attention and he definitely doesnt get the long walk he needs and with a heavy heart they think it will be best to find him a new forever home. Our assessor felt fine around Sonny and didnt feel he was being anything other than a typical alpha protective boy. Sonny isnt brilliant on the lead, worse going out for the walk then on the return, however he is excellent off lead with good re call. Going forward it would be lovely to find Sonny a family home where they are used to shepherds and can bring his protective traits under control.
