Mya - Somerset

This sweetheart is Mya who is a 4-year-old spayed girl.

Mya greeted our volunteer calmly and was more interested in the other GSD resident in the home. She was gentle and friendly with treats.

If she is unsure of strangers she will bark but soon settles once she knows they are friendly and not going to hurt her.

The volunteer took her for a short walk, she does pull a little and her owner normally uses a halti. They saw a few dogs but with sharp correction, she will move on but continue to eyeball and watch other dogs. She really does not like little dogs or cats.

She is great in the house but she clearly needs more exercise and mind games as being taken out twice a week is simply not enough for her! Her owner has health problems hence she cannot give May what she needs.

Mya is allergic to dust mites so her new owner will need a good vacuum cleaner.

She is used to sleeping in a crate and she is fed on raw food.

Mya needs to be an only dog with older children where her new owners are prepared to give her the exercise and mental stimulation that she desperately needs.
