Meet Simba, a beautiful 10 month old pup looking for a new home. Simba is a young, very energetic and bouncy dog. He is super friendly with people and was happy licking our volunteer's face when they went to meet him. This lovely boy is hyper though, and is too boisterous to be around young children.
Simba currently lives with two other dogs but play time has escalated into fights with one of them. He simply doesn't know when to stop and will need some firm boundaries if rehomed with another dog. He cannot be rehomed with cats as he chases them.
Simba has not seen dogs when out on walks, but he reacts to the neighbour's dog and gets very vocal and excitable. He is very strong on the lead but has good recall when off lead and will come back on whistle.
This young pup needs an experienced owner who can start his training from scratch and give him the correct amount of physical and mental stimulation. Learning things and having boundaries in place will certainly help with his frustration and hyperactivity. Simba is very young and can be shaped into a fabulous dog, all he needs is some guidance.
