SIMBA - KENT

Simba  4yrs old

D.O.B 18/10/2020

Male German shepherd

Neutered

Simba will also answer to his nickname Roonies. He loves the inside of his back legs scratched as well as his paws massaged.

He loves chasing bubbles in the garden but doesn’t like the birds! He is very ball focused and loves to carry one on his walks, he will destroy a tennis ball within 3 minutes.

He’s favourite treats are rabbits ears or ham. Chicken can upset his tummy but he is fine with everything else. He also loves the odd cup of tea in the evening.

He knows lots of tricks he can sit, laydown, spin, around (between the legs) paw and speak . He doesn’t like fireworks or thunder storms and will take himself to his crate it’s his safe space.

After his morning wee he loves nothing more than jumping in bed for a morning snuggle he loves playing hide and seek and gets the zoomies.

He loves water, puddles especially muddy ones, lakes, the sea, hosepipes and given the chance he will get in your shower or bath with you!

Simba is an anxious boy and will react to anything unknown to him. He barks as he believes that wiull send people away and sadly it generally does so he feels he has won the war !!!!! With the right person to handle him he will settle and can be successfully introduced to people and animals. Our voliunteer was armed with mega treats and within 5 minutes Simba was happy in his company. Once he is comfortable with you he is a lovely dog who, loves playing games, being given a job or having a cuddle. He has with the right guidance been introduced to other dogs and enjoyed being in a pack on a walk. Simba is a very nervous dog which appears aggressive.

Simba is walked on a short lead if taken out at busy times and he is walked with a muzzle. Iif in a quieter environment he loves to carry a flat football and that is his focus. He will bark at animals on a walk but will rarely bark at a pedestrian, he sits and waits to cross the road 9/10 times without being told.

Simba is now in kennels and is settling well. He loves going over the fields and playing ball. He has been a model resident so far. He is slowly being introduced to other dogs and that has been going well.Whilst he has some issues with a calm confident handler prepared to spend some time at the kennels and taking him out for walks he will be an extremely loyal companion who will thrive and begin to realise that being a dog is about having fun and being caxred for rather than having to be the protector.

Please don't overlook this gorgeous boy
