Zac is a loving family dog who was taken in as a stray about 6 months ago.
After adoption he was neutered and had medication for an ear infection, he settled well with their other dog and within the family unit. However, Zac has developed behavioural problems with his dog walkers (sadly he doesn't have the same one daily) and he appears unsettled upon their arrival and will bark and sometimes he is dominant with the other dogs they have to walk. Zac has also been tried at doggie day care and again he is not happy around some of the dogs in their care and this has prompted current owners looking to rehome as with their work commitments they are now at a loss as to how to get Zac settled whilst they are not at home.
With the owners, he is good and shows no signs of this behaviour however they do say he appears to favour being outside and can sometimes stress to get out.
Our volunteer was greeted very well by Zac and could see he is well looked after and the family are worried that their boy will only become worse due to not settling whilst they are at work.
Zac is a calm loving boy around his family and will need to find a new home where they are around in the day and can appease his anxious behaviour when left or being walked by strangers.
Zac is good with children of all ages. Zac is also known to love his food and can "steal" off the countertop or wherever a snack may have been left unattended.
Our volunteer thought he was a lovely boy who just misses his family when they are at work.
