Sherman or Bear as his kennel maid girlfriends refer to him is a GSD cross Akita we believe to be around 8 or 9 years old.
Sherman is very much a people-dog, and does not like being away from humans. Sherman is a really friendly dog and despite appearing to be a bit daft he has proven to be a master of manipulation of the people around him.
Sherman has lived with children although little is known of his history so we would be looking to rehome Sherman to a family with older teenagers only.
Sherman has been the model of good behaviour since entering kennels, getting along nicely with his fellow residents. Unsurprisingly Sherman is a strong boy and this is reflected in his walking on the lead, off lead his recall is good especially if there is a food treat available by way of reward.
Although he is no spring chicken Sherman will make a lovely pet for anyone who can offer him a home, our assessor was very much taken with him and remarked repeatedly how much Sherman loves human contact, can you give him that contact along with a bed in front of a nice warm fire. Please let us know as kennels really is no life for this gorgeous boy.
