Sharne - West Yorkshire

Sharne - West Yorkshire
Sharne has spent a few days in a foster home so we were able to get the following information:

Sharne is a beautiful lady. As an only dog in the house she settled exceptionally well, soon taking advantage of the luxuries she had on offer e.g. a sofa which has fast become her favourite place for a nap. Sharne loves affection and attention, she will happily come and lie next to you on the sofa, be brushed forever or have her head scratched. On a night Sharne settles in one spot and sleeps the whole night through, without disturbing you. On a morning you are greeted to a wagging tail and lots of affection.

When people come into the house Sharne barks and if not restrained (e.g. on leash or held at collar) she will jump up to greet people which isn’t ideal but she settles very quickly. Guests barely have time to get their coats off and sat down before she’s inspecting them and wanting a fuss made of her.

Sharne has been walked in a variety of settings, none of which have phased her (forest, beach, housing estate, across busy roads etc). She loves water and is quite happy to jump straight in! She’s also a digger as I found out on the beach! Sharne has closely inspected my garden for escape routes so a secure garden is a must, but her need to look for escape routes has lessened the longer she has been here, possibly because she’s had so many walks she’s too tired! Sharne hasn’t been tested with cats or children properly; she’s seen children when out walking and hasn’t shown any interest in them. We met some horses on a walk today and again Sharne was disinterested.

Whoever becomes Sharne’s forever family, will be very lucky to get such a sweet natured, happy dog. She deserves to be treasured and loved to bits, she’s definitely a people friendly dog.
