Shanghai Rex Cruelty Case Update
SHANGHAI REX
A few weeks on and look at the difference. Still, a long way to go to get this boy back on track but he is getting there. He is now bein prepared for travel to the UK in summer so we need a forever home ready and waiting for him when he arrives. If you would like to be considered to adopt this special boy, please complete an adoption form.
Please help us raise the funds to bring Rex and Ted over to the UK. If you pay by Virgin Money Giving and you are a tax payer, we get an extra 25% in Gift Aid.
Here's how you can donate.
To all those people that treat their dogs as disposable commodities and use our rescue as a dumping ground for their unwanted pets - shame on you. Both Ted and Rex are truly deserving of our help and this is what rescues should really be used for.
This was poor broken Rex
Hi fosterer and the person who is also helping with his transition, took him to the vet. They had to sedate him as he wasn't allowing anyone to touch him, still nervous. His face was red raw from scratching so they took him asap to get treatment. The vet discovered he had severe mite infestation and had to be fully shaved. There she discovered more open sores which are now being treated. He has been bathed and will need weekly injections for 8 weeks. He looks so relieved. Estimated age from the vet is 1.5yrs old and not 4yrs as originally told. A slow journey but we will get there.

Our Shanghai Boy REX is warming up, he enjoys subtle strokes and bed hopping until he's content and relaxed. What a great character. We hope he has a home waiting for him when he arrives in the UK, he is one beautiful boy and would make a great addition to anyone's family.
