Shadow - Teesside

Urgent foster is needed for Shadow as council has given owner until the 17th March to rehome as living in a flat and no dogs allowed.

Shadow is an absolutely lovely girl who greeted me happily instantly and just wanted cuddles.

She is very loving and quite playful and was a little mouthy due to excitement but no teeth involved. She was playing with her toys when I was there and seemed very loved by the family. Quite playful for her age and was giving me her toys and took a treat nicely.

Her exercise is short and often due to being in a first floor flat and as a result she is overweight so would benefit from a home that could give her good exercise and good quality food.

She is friendly with the grandchildren of all ages and absolutely loves people.

I took her on a short walk and she did pull but it was due to excitement and I am sure she would settle with regular good exercise. When we saw another dog she did react by barking but again, this seemed very much due to excitement and is probably a result of her not having a good outlet for her energy.

She didn’t react to traffic or people.

Her owner died 18 months ago and he used to take her all over for long walks and outings but since he passed she has been passed around the family who either don’t have the time for her or are unable due to illness (in Jeffs case) to give her the life she deserves.

She was vaccinated but this has lapsed since her owner died as they haven’t taken her to the vet.

Overall, an absolute darling who with regular good exercise and a little training will be an absolutely cracking dog!
