Shadow finds himself looking for a new home due to a change in family circumstances and his owner now feels that he really isn't getting what he needs.
The volunteers first words were .... He is a cracker of a dog but doesn't come without issues.
He gets very excited when visitors come round. He was allowed to say hello then put in the garden as with his excitement he generally cannot hold it in !! Once that was sorted he just wanted attention, treats, to play with his tug toy. When he was ignored he chased his tail but this is ONLY when there are strangers visiting.
Shadow currently lives with young children, one of whom is disabled and is fine.
He was attacked by 3 dogs a few years ago, so is not let off lead anymore but seems interested in dogs, just has no idea how to play. He is scared of cats. He pulls a bit on the lead. He is walked on a halti and flexi lead.
Shadow has never had official training, but you can see that some work has been put in with him. He still needs more work on lead manners and socialisation.
Shadow can be a bit grumpy around his food bowl, so anyone adopting should be aware that some work will be needed in this area.
Shadow would like a home weith people who have time for him. People who will give him toime to settle in and work on his behaviours outside of the home.
If Shadow is for you please get in touch.
