Meet Scout, a gorgeous 7 month old GSD pup. He is looking for a new home as his owners' circumstances have changed and they can no longer look after him.
Scout is a typical puppy, he's a friendly and bouncy boy who likes to greet visitors by jumping up at them. He has previously lived with cat but this is when he was 8 weeks old, he seems to get on well with the dogs he sees when out on a walk, although he will initially bark but no aggression and sometimes shows submissive behaviour. He would probably like a nice older brother or sister to show him the ropes.
Scout is a lovely playful boy who will make a cracking dog for someone who understands the breed and takes the time to further his training.
This is what our volunteer said when she went to meet/assess him.
We took Scout out for a walk and he displayed typical immature behaviour. He initially barked at the neighbours (whom he knows) but this appeared to be excitable behaviour rather than aggression and soon stopped. He pulled on the lead and would benefit from training in this area, with clear boundary setting. He did not react to cars and showed no aggression when we met other dogs, in fact he appeared quite submissive but eager to play.
Scout is such a lovely, friendly boy and his owners state he loves attention, especially ‘back rubs’and overall having a fuss.
