This is quiet a sad story and left the volunteer in tears.
Saxon is an 8 year old boy who has lived with his owner since he was 8 weeks old. He is an extremely loyal boy who would do anything for his owner. Saxon sadly needs a new home as although he tries really hard with the owners partner she really struggles with him. When home alone she will put him in the garden and this is upsetting the neighbours as he is barking to be let in. The owner feels trapped and has decided that the best thing for Saxon will be to find him a happy home...... that is where we come in
Saxon seems to be a lovely boy, typical of the breed. He is loyal, loves his ball and will do anything for a game, when the assessor went in he greeted her like a GSD all hyped up she pulled out the treats and hey presto this lovely mild mannered boy and took the treat ever so gently, found a ball and said come n then lets play.....
On the whole he does get on with other dogs, he walks nicely on the lead will sit at the kerb make eye contact when asked and will move when told.
Although a little over weight he is in good condition, he will cettainly grieve the loss of his owner and may initially need space as his whole world will be turned upside down.
This beautiful boy needs a retirement home with confident knowledgeable people who can help him overcome his loss and give him the time and attention that he so deserves.
