Sadie was picked up by the warden roaming the streets it also looked like she’d recently had pups. She ended up in the stray kennels and did her time, no one turned up for her so GSDR were asked if they could take her, how could we resist. She wasn’t coping in kennels so she's gone into a lovely foster home living with a bonded pair. This is what her foster dad had to say about Sadie:
A very sweet loving girl, great with people and children, loves nothing better than a cuddle up on the sofa with her head on your knee. Walks nicely on the lead, she did a group walk and had 3 different people handling her she was very accepting of them all.
When she is out and about she comes across as being afraid of other dogs and becomes quiet vocal, kind of working on the basis I will get them before they get me. Although she has settled in with two resident dogs in the foster home, was a little bit of handbags at dawn at first but now they’ve all found their place and she is now much more trusting of them.
Sadie has been out walking with a group of nine dogs and quickly settled and enjoyed herself. She has a few battle scars on her face and ears, this may explain her fear of other dogs. Training is a work in progress, but she loves treats so is responding really well.
Sadie is looking for a knowledgeable home, a well balanced male dog is a must as this will help Sadie continue her education in doggie etiquette and help build her confidence.
